The characteristic zigzag pattern probably originates from the Irish Aran Islands. The Irish fishermen’s wives made the warm jumpers with this pattern for their husbands. Our Aran jumper is very warm too, because it’s knitted with an extra portion of fine merino wool. The large meshes and the voluminous knit enclose small air cushions, which act additional insulator. That’s what makes our Aran jumper definitely an all-weather jumper for colder days. Sleeves and body with ribbed cuffs and a classic round neck.

Care of your Disana woolens:
Hand washing is always best for organic wool, in cool to lukewarm water.
Specially formulated wool-wash helps maintain wool’s unique properties.
Wool’s self-cleansing properties prolong need for washing – simply let it air out between wearings.
Washing before first use is not necessary with GOTS-certified wool.
After washing, roll in a terry cloth towel to press out excess water.
Help the garment regain its shape and elasticity by pulling it into shape, if necessary.
Dry lying flat or over a drying rack, out of direct sunlight (which can discolor natural wool).
Do not use bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not dry clean.
